Choose who counter-signs contracts
For team-signs-last templates, pick which staff may complete the facility signature—so agreements are not stuck waiting on one admin.
When the customer signs first, the agreement should not sit in limbo because the only person allowed to counter-sign is on vacation.
Why we built it
Team signs last templates are common in storage: the customer accepts terms online, then the facility countersigns. Previously, counter-signing could bottleneck on a single primary admin. Counter-signers on the template lets you search teammates by name or email, select one or more people, and allow any selected member to finish the facility signature—faster completions and clearer ownership across shifts.
Who it is for
- Facilities where managers, owners, or duty managers counter-sign—not only the original account admin.
- Multi-location teams that want local leadership to sign without changing account ownership.
- Operations leads reducing Awaiting team signature backlog on busy move-in weeks.
What you can do
- On Team signs last templates, open Counter-signers and add the staff who may sign after the customer.
- Search by name or email when building the list—no need to memorize user IDs.
- Let any selected counter-signer complete the facility signature from the contract page.
- Leave Primary team admin when only the first admin should sign—or expand the list when coverage matters more.
How it fits your day
Customers still receive branded progress emails when their step is done and when the agreement is fully complete—see Contract signature confirmation emails. Counter-signers settings define who can close the loop on your side.
Get started
Edit the template under Settings → Contracts & Documents. In Signing Options, enable Team signs last, then configure Counter-signers.
When sending a one-off agreement, you can also adjust counter-signers on the send flow—see Send a contract for signature.
