More dependable recurring schedules

Start or finish one visit in a recurring series and the right occurrence updates on Schedule, progress boards, and team calendars—without marking every future date done.

Recurring work should behave like a series of separate visits—not one row that flips the whole pattern at once.

Why we built it

On the calendar, recurring appointments expand into many dates that still share one database parent. Changing status on that parent used to make every expanded occurrence look started or complete. More dependable recurring schedules routes start, in progress, custom status, and complete actions through the specific occurrence you tapped—creating or reusing a recurrence exception when needed and keeping the series parent scheduled so future weeks still appear. The same occurrence context flows through Schedule, session progress steppers, and subscribed team calendars, so what staff see on the board matches what customers and vendors see on their feeds.

Who it is for

  • Shop and detail teams running weekly or monthly service on the same cars.
  • Storage facilities with service-plan events that generate recurring calendar rows.
  • Anyone who already uses All day appointments and reliable recurring progress and wants the same per-visit behavior when starting work, not only when finishing.

What you can do

  • Tap Start or Complete on one cell of a recurring series; other dates stay scheduled.
  • Update custom statuses on a single occurrence from the schedule grid or event session header.
  • Trust progress boards and ICS calendar subscriptions to reflect the occurrence you changed—not the entire template.
  • Follow Update, assign, or reschedule an event when you need to edit this occurrence vs the whole series.

Series edits still ask scope—status changes on a single date no longer require that choice to avoid breaking future visits.

How it fits your day

Open this Tuesday’s recurring detail from Schedule, move it to In progress, finish the walkthrough, and mark Complete. Next Tuesday’s slot should still show scheduled. If you subscribe to the team calendar in Apple or Google Calendar, the completed date should update while later instances remain open.

Get started

Pick a recurring job with at least two future dates, change status on only the nearest occurrence, and confirm the following occurrence is unchanged on Schedule and your subscribed calendar.
