Facility-only service plans
Run recurring care only while a car is on-site—start dates follow parking, and due work pauses when the vehicle leaves.

Storage care should follow the car—not the calendar on the wall. When a vehicle is away for service, transport, or a customer drive, your team should not chase overdue checks for work that cannot happen yet.
Why we built it
Many facilities bundle washes, battery care, and inspections with storage. Those tasks only make sense while the car is in a spot or zone. Facility-only plans align due dates and dashboard alerts with real occupancy so staff focus on cars they can actually touch—and customers are not nagged for care that waits until the car returns.
Who it is for
- Operators who include recurring maintenance with storage tiers and need schedules to respect on-site time.
- Teams tired of red “due” flags on cars at a vendor or out with the owner.
- Facilities that auto-assign care when a car is parked and want the clock to start on arrival day.
What you can do
- Mark a service plan to run only while the car is in the facility when you create or edit the plan.
- Use the day the car was added to a spot or zone as the plan start date—no manual backdating for every intake.
- Pause due items, dashboard alerts, and recurring visits while the car is off-site; they resume when the car is back in a spot or zone.
- Apply a facility-only plan fleet-wide so cars get it when they arrive, without assigning the same plan by hand each time.

How it works
When Only while the car is in the facility is on for a plan, the system treats parking as the gate for compliance. Care timelines start when the vehicle is in a spot or zone, not from an arbitrary date you pick on intake. If the car leaves—vendor, customer pickup, or another off-site status—plan items stop counting as due until the car is back on your floor plan.
That is different from a standard plan, which keeps ticking whether the car is on-site or not. Choose facility-only when the included work physically requires the vehicle on your lot.
Get started
- Create or edit a service plan
Open Settings → Services & schedule, scroll to Service plans, and create a plan or edit an existing one. In the wizard, under When does it run?, turn on Only while the car is in the facility.
Expected result: The review step shows the plan runs only in the facility, and fleet apply options describe cars in spots or zones.
- Assign on intake
When you park a car, assign the plan on the vehicle record or rely on Apply to every car if the plan should attach automatically when cars enter the facility.
Expected result: The car’s Service Plans section shows the plan with an in-facility indicator; start date reflects when the car was parked.
- Watch the schedule
Confirm upcoming care on Schedule looks right while the car is on-site, and that due work quiets down after an off-site move.
Expected result: Fewer false “due” items for away cars; returning vehicles pick up the rhythm from their facility start date.
